About Friendship Lab School for Dyslexia
The Friendship Lab School for Dyslexia is a Kindergarten – 8th grade school located in Central Arkansas in the city of Maumelle. Our school focuses on teaching students who experience the challenges of dyslexia and language-based learning differences that can hinder their success in a traditional classroom setting.
As a therapeutic model school, we bring together dedicated teams of therapists and educators to design personalized learning plans for every enrolled child. These plans are tailored to meet the unique needs of each student and encompass academic intervention services as well as supportive therapies such as speech therapy and occupational therapy. Our approach is centered on helping students progress to grade level and eventually reintegrate into their home schools.

Our mission
The Friendship Lab School for Dyslexia is dedicated to providing a unique educational experience for students who struggle with dyslexia and language-based learning differences. Our mission is to empower these students to overcome their barriers to learning and achieve grade-level proficiency. Through specialized teams of therapists and educators, we work collaboratively to create individualized learning plans that include academic intervention and supportive therapy services. Our ultimate goal is to help each student close the learning gap and transition back to their home school with newfound confidence and skills.
Our principal
Natasha Jones
Natasha Jones brings over eight years of professional experience in education to her role as Principal of Friendship Lab School for Dyslexia. A passionate advocate for literacy and student growth, she has dedicated her career to ensuring that all children—especially those who learn differently—have the tools and confidence to succeed.
Ms. Jones’s love for teaching began long before her first classroom. Even as a child, she was known for “teaching” friends who were eager to learn, a passion that has driven her professional journey. Over the years, she has served as a kindergarten and 4th grade teacher, curriculum specialist, and assistant principal, earning multiple Teacher of the Year honors along the way.
In her leadership at Friendship Lab School, Ms. Jones is committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and engaging environment where scholars with dyslexia are empowered to achieve academic success and build self-confidence. She believes in the power of strong school-family partnerships and works closely with the community to ensure every student has the encouragement, resources, and opportunities to aspire to their fullest potential.
